I graduated from El Dorado High School in Placenta in 1975 and went on to take 1 year of cosmetology school at Fullerton college. I soon realized that cutting hair was not for me and I began working full time for Catalina Boat / Spa manufacturing where I was the 1 girl office for 4 years.
From there moved into outside sales and spent most of my working life in sales with the exception of working as an administrative assistant to the owner of Schechtman Construction here in Riverside. I retired in March of 2020 when covid hit the US.
Family Promise of Riverside has afforded me the opportunity to realize my dream of volunteering for a worth-while cause helping those in need. I am very passionate about helping those less fortunate than myself because I feel that I am very fortunate to 1) be born in the USA and 2) find myself in a very comfortable living situation via my own hard work and by the grace of God. I have been blessed to have a healthy mind and body to allow me to support myself and God has blessed me over and over throughout my life making it possible for me to help others. I believe that if I am to call myself Christian, I am obligated to do His work.
I have a beautiful and talented 33 year old daughter and a very special son in law who have given me 3 extraordinary grandchildren. They are my joy. I am passionate about gardening and traveling. Life Is Good.

I am a longtime resident of Riverside. I am a married mother of two with two grandchildren and two fur babies (Labradoodles) named Bella and Anellini. An alumna of UCLA, I am passionate about my Bruins.
I am a retired paralegal and recently opened a small business servicing the Inland Empire as a personal shopper.
I believe that Family Promise can fill a much-needed void by assisting our youth; who, by no fault of their own, are homeless. I volunteered during our most recent Point in Time Count. It was there that I witnessed the sheer number of the ‘invisible’ and how much assistance and support is needed for our community.
I was raised in a loving family and never went to bed hungry. Bed, food, family; most take one or all of these things for granted.
Giving back to my community, volunteering for this board, is the least that I can do to assist those less fortunate.

I am an ordained clergy with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination and have served congregations in Pennsylvania, Northern California, Missouri and Southern California, including First Christian Church Riverside from 2014-2021.
Fundamental to my religious and spiritual life is following the loving ways of Jesus. This core alignment has lead me to the care and liberation for all people through the work of meeting basic needs, anti-racism / pro-reconciliation, advocating for public policy that uplifts people out of poverty, and bridging the various divides that separate people from their neighbors.
My favorites are my one-year-old son and wife, the great outdoors, soccer, baseball and grilling.
